Riding Disciplines at Campbell Springs Farm Eventing is an Equestrian Triathlon & Olympic Sport evolved from the testing of cavalry horses for war. The three disciplines of Eventing are: Dressage, Cross Country & Stadium Jumping. Dressage- Learn how to work in better harmony with your horse through lessons with one of our three Dressage Trainers: Debbie Rodriguez, Nicole Smith or Dana Bivens. Detailed riding lessons with your horse utilizing a series of exercises in suppling, balancing and obedience will help create the rhythm and energy necessary to produce a smooth, flowing, precise Dressage Test. Cross Country-Cross Country is the centerpiece of the sport of Eventing requiring trust and a true partnership between horse and rider. Though not for the beginner rider, our instructors and professional clinicians will teach the proper techniques and skills whether you are just starting out or working to move up to a higher level of competition. Come enjoy the exhilaration of galloping across our country field while navigating your horse over solid jumps such as log fences, a tiger trap, tables, coops and other obstacles such as a bank, ditches or water. Stadium Jumping- Through lessons with our experienced trainers, you will learn to jump a series of colorful fences of varying heights and widths with your horse. Beginners start with 18” crossrails while our more advanced students jump larger fences. Paramount to our instructors’ focus is to ensure you and your horse are properly approaching each jump while staying centered allowing you and your horse to jump combinations and negotiate tight turns. Please see go to our instructors to choose which trainer may be best matched for your skill level |
